Choosing a band to sit beside it
Flush, curved, or apart — a fitting-room guide to the wedding band.
Most brides choose the engagement ring first and the band months later. By then the solitaire has a shape and a height that decide which bands will sit well beside it.
There are three ways for two rings to meet, and each is right for someone.
Flush, curved or apart
A flush band sits tight against the engagement ring with no gap, which suits low settings. A curved band bends around a taller stone. And some brides prefer the two rings apart, with a little space between them, so each can be worn alone.
“Bring the ring you already wear. A band only makes sense next to it.”

In the fitting room
We keep bands in every metal and width in the fitting room, so you can try them side by side. Matching metals are traditional; mixing white and yellow gold is just as lovely.
Book a fitting at any boutique and bring your engagement ring — we will clean it while you try.
